A cloth face mask creates a barrier to help prevent the spread of Covid 19, you can be an asymptomatic carrier and not know. Masks should be worn in addition to frequent hand washing, minimal face touching/fidgeting, and social distancing; worn when six feet of distance is not always possible (like grocery stores.) 

When you receive your mask please wash in the washing machine or by hand with hot water before using. Wash your hands after handling face masks. When not in use store them in a clean place (like a fresh ziplock bag) and wash them again when you get home from the store. 

There are two layers of neoprene fabric to allow you to insert a filter if wanted, you can even use a coffee filter as a DIY option.
